One local tech. No call center, no ticket queue.
I'm Hudson, and I run Brickell Tech Fix on my own. When you call, you get me. When I show up, it's me. When you call again in six months, you don't have to explain your setup from scratch.

Why I started this
I live in a Brickell tower, and I kept ending up in neighbors' apartments fixing Wi-Fi and setting up new laptops. A neighborhood full of people who work from home turns out to need someone who can be there today. The alternatives were a national chain with a four-hour window, or a shop across town that wants you to unplug everything and bring it in.
Being close is the whole product. For a lot of buildings around here, getting to you is a walk. That's why I can offer same-day slots and flat pricing instead of an hourly rate that pays me for taking longer. See the full side-by-side comparison if you're weighing the options.
How I work
Flat prices, quoted first. You know the cost before anything starts. If the job turns out harder than expected, that's my problem, not a bigger invoice.
I back up before I touch anything. Every job, without being asked. It's the most important habit in this work and most people skip it.
No jargon unless you want it. I'll explain what went wrong in normal English, and go deeper if you're interested. Nobody gets made to feel stupid about a computer around me.
I'll tell you when not to spend money. If your laptop isn't worth repairing, or the thing you're about to buy is overkill, I'll say so. I don't sell hardware, so I have no reason not to.
Where the training comes from
I'm an IT and programming graduate. That matters for one reason: I understand why things break, not just which button usually fixes them. Networking, operating systems, security and scripting were the coursework, and a lot of everyday tech support is applying that instead of guessing.
In practice it means I can script a setup so your new machine matches the old one, and read what a log file is telling me rather than reinstalling and hoping. It's also why I'm comfortable saying when a problem is beyond what I should be touching.
What I work on
Windows computers are my specialty. Repair, cleanup, malware removal, new setups and data transfers. Alongside that: home and small-office networking, mesh Wi-Fi in concrete buildings, guest networks, routers, printers, and TV and streaming setups.
For small offices I handle the everyday things a business needs someone for. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration, backups that get tested, new starter setups, and making sure people who left don't still have access.
What I won't take on
I'd rather turn work down than learn on your equipment. I don't do failed-drive data recovery, active ransomware incidents, on-premise server rebuilds, or regulated medical record systems. I don't do TV wall mounting either. I know people who do all of it and I'll pass you their number.
I also only speak English. Miami being Miami, that matters to some people, and I'd rather say it here than waste your time on the phone.
The boring but important part
Brickell Tech Fix is a licensed and insured Florida business, and I'm background checked. Most buildings around here ask vendors for both before letting them upstairs, and I keep the paperwork ready to send to your management office.
Got something that isn't working?
Describe it in plain English. I'll tell you the price and whether it even needs a visit.
