The free 20-minute tech audit

I come to your office, spend twenty minutes looking at how things work, and leave you a one-page summary. No pitch deck, no obligation, no follow-up campaign.

What I check:

  • Whether your Microsoft 365 or Google accounts have MFA turned on
  • Whether your files are backed up, and whether they restore
  • Wi-Fi coverage, and whether guests share your main network
  • Who still has access after leaving, and shared password habits
  • Machines too old or unsupported to be safe on your network

Most offices I walk into are missing at least two of these and don't know it. You keep the page whether you hire me or not.

Who this is for

Small Brickell offices without an IT person

Right now, tech probably falls to whoever in the office is least bad at it. That person has another job.

Law firms

Boutique practices where document security and uptime matter and nobody wants to be the one explaining a breach.

Wealth & family offices

Small teams handling sensitive client data on machines nobody has audited in years.

Real estate brokerages

Agents in and out, personal laptops on the office network, shared logins everywhere.

Clinics & med spas

Front desk systems, booking software and payment terminals that cannot go down mid-day.

Design & architecture studios

Big files, shared storage, and machines that need to stay fast under real load.

Accounting practices

Seasonal crunch where an outage in April is not survivable.

Salons & studios

Booking, card terminals, music, guest Wi-Fi. Simple stack, but it has to work every day.

Startups & small fintech

Growing headcount, laptops handed out with no process, and nobody owning access control.

Why a local one-person outfit beats a big MSP at your size

Large managed service providers are built for companies with 50 or more seats. At eight people you're the smallest account they have, which means a shared helpdesk queue, a two-hour SLA that starts when a ticket gets triaged rather than when your day stopped, and an engineer who has never seen your office.

I'm in Brickell. You get one person who knows your setup, answers the phone himself, and can walk over. No ticket number, no tier-one script.

The honest trade-off: I'm one person, so I'm not the right fit if you need 24/7 overnight cover, an on-premise server estate, or formal HIPAA or SOC 2 compliance sign-off. If that's you, say so at the audit and I'll tell you straight rather than take the work and figure it out later.

For the household side of the same question, here's the general comparison against a national chain.

How onboarding works

1

Audit

Twenty minutes on site. You get a one-page summary of what's solid and what isn't.

2

Fix the gaps

Quoted flat, done in the first month. MFA, backups, network, access cleanup.

3

Ongoing

Monthly per person from there. Quarterly check-in so nothing drifts.

Questions

What offices usually ask

Is there a minimum number of users?

Three. Below that the Tech Concierge plan at $149 a month is usually better value and covers the same ground.

Are we locked into a contract?

No. Month to month with thirty days' notice. If the service isn't worth what you're paying, you shouldn't need a contract to keep you.

What's the response time?

Same day for anything that stops you working, and usually much faster since I'm walking distance from most of Brickell and available 24/7. Remote issues are typically picked up within the hour, any time.

Do you handle the handover from our current IT company?

Yes. Getting admin credentials, domain access and license ownership transferred cleanly is part of onboarding. It's also the step where most offices discover they never controlled those things in the first place.

Can you do our website too?

Yes. I build and maintain sites as well, and existing IT clients get a better rate. It's not part of the monthly plan, it's quoted separately.
